A Stranger Friend

You blew by me disguised as a dragonfly;

your gossamer wings brushing my cheek

as you dropped a few kind words along your flight.

Cloaked in mystery and dripping

from a tender pen of the past

you grazed me with

youthful remembrance

of days gone by.

Though you didn’t leave a name

I’m sure my memories are just as fond.
