One of the most powerful tools in life, after the saving knowledge and love of Christ, is an education.  Children in many 3rd world countries aren't able to experience what we take for granted.  Often sending children to school is one of the greatest expenses a family has and most families have more than one child.  School fees, let alone school supplies,  exceed the cost of water and electricity which most families do without.  If these children do not get an education they will grow up to live the same kind of lives they were born into.
